Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabba. Now Barabba was a robber.
In that same hour said Yahshua to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabba.
Then released he Barabba unto them: and when he had scourged Yahshua, he delivered him to be executed.
And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabba unto them, and delivered Yahshua, when he had scourged him, to be executed.
And there was one named Barabba, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Yahshua to their will.
