Word of Yahweh

Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Yahweh, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their Elohim?

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh, which he had built before the porch,

Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their Elohim?

As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in Elohim: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my Elohim.

My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy Elohim?

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of Elohim, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

O Elohim, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their Elohim? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.

We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Yahweh; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Yahweh, let my Yahweh, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

And in that day did the Sovereign Yahweh of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:

Now therefore, O Yahweh our Elohim, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Yahweh, even thou only.

But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

And he brought me into the inner court of Yahweh's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of Yahweh, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Yahweh, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

Take with you words, and turn to Yahweh: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my Elohim: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your Elohim.

The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of Yahweh; the priests, Yahweh's ministers, mourn.

And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Sovereign Yahweh, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

Then said I, O Sovereign Yahweh, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is Yahweh thy Elohim? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

And now, I pray you, beseech El that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith Yahweh of hosts.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zachariah son of Jehoiada, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

He trusted in Yahweh; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of Yahweh.

And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither Yahweh shall lead thee.

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and Yahweh hath not done all this.

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?
