Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it.
If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;
I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon Eloah, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.
Know now that Eloah hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
For Job hath said, I am righteous: and El hath taken away my judgment.
Then Job answered Yahweh, and said,
Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth Elohim and him that serveth him not.
