Word of Yahweh

Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

And the thing which he did displeased Yahweh: wherefore he slew him also.

The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of Yahweh, and make mention of the Elohim of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.

Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Yahweh hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of Yahweh, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of Yahweh their Elohim, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

To subvert a man in his cause, Yahweh approveth not.

The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

And as he thus spoke for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Master, went unto the high priest,

And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to Yahweh: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
