Word of Yahweh

It may be Yahweh thy Elohim will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living Elohim, and will reprove the words which Yahweh thy Elohim hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

It may be that Yahweh will behold with his eye, and that Yahweh will requite me good for his cursing this day.

Therefore Yahweh was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

It may be Yahweh thy Elohim will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living Elohim; and will reprove the words which Yahweh thy Elohim hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left.

For Yahweh brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against Yahweh.

Go, enquire of Yahweh for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of Yahweh that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of Yahweh, to do after all that is written in this book.

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

Except Yahweh of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Yahweh shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, Yahweh will deliver us. Hath any of the elohim of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Who are they among all the elohim of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that Yahweh should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

Incline thine ear, O Yahweh, and hear; open thine eyes, O Yahweh, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living Elohim.

And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of Yahweh of hosts shall do this.

So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Yahweh, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear Yahweh, and besought Yahweh, and Yahweh repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.

And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto Yahweh thy Elohim, even for all this remnant; for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:

That they would desire mercies of the Elah of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Yahweh, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their Elohim?

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that Yahweh Elohim of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Sovereign Yahweh, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof Yahweh spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be Yahweh will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as Yahweh said.

And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto Yahweh thy Elohim, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.

Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against Yahweh in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that Yahweh will work for us: for there is no restraint to Yahweh to save by many or by few.

And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living Elohim?

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living Elohim.

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto Yahweh our Elohim for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.
