Then the angel of Yahweh commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto Yahweh in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Then David said, This is the house of Yahweh Elohim, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where Yahweh appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto Yahweh, even burnt offerings morning and evening.

For we were bondmen; yet our Elah hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our Elah, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought Yahweh's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto Yahweh, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which Yahweh had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

Every man according to what he has decided in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for Elohim loveth a cheerful giver.
