Ezekiel 1:1

Word of Yahweh

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim.

After these things the word of Yahweh came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

And Elohim spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, "Here am I."

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

And they saw the Elohim of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also Yahweh sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

Because ye have said, Yahweh hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

The word of Yahweh came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of Yahweh was there upon him.

Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubim there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.

And the cherubim were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.

This is the living creature that I saw under the Elohim of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubim.

And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward.

Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of Elohim into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the splendor of Yahweh stood there, as the splendor which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.

In the visions of Elohim brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.

And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.

And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of Elohim to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I Yahweh will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

And as they came down from the mountain, Yahshua charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

And Yahshua, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of Yahweh descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Yahshua also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,

And Yahshua himself began to be about thirty years of age, being as was supposed the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of Elohim ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of Elohim coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of Elohim.

It is not profitable for me doubtless to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of Yahweh.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.
