And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will gain honor over Pharaoh, and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen.
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will gain honor over Pharaoh, and over all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am Yahweh. And they did so.
And Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.
And Yahweh said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
And say, Thus saith the Sovereign Yahweh; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be honored in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
Therefore thus saith the Sovereign Yahweh; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign Yahweh; Thus saith the Sovereign Yahweh to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that Yahweh spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no elohim with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
For it was of Yahweh to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.
Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
