Deuteronomy 21:23

Word of Yahweh

His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; for he that is hanged is accursed of Elohim; that thy land be not defiled, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the stake on the sabbath day, for that sabbath day was an high day, besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from the Messiah for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

If any man love not the Master Yahshua the Messiah, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

For the one who did not know sin was made to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of Yahweh in him.

The Messiah hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Therefore it shall be, when Yahweh thy Elohim hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

Furthermore Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance:

Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.
