Deuteronomy 10:18

Word of Yahweh

He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

Wherefore now let the fear of Yahweh be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our Elohim, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress. To the chief Musician.

Yahweh executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Yahweh is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Yahweh preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is Elohim in his holy habitation.

Elohim setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

He that sacrificeth unto any elohim, save unto Yahweh only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.

If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.

Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our elohim: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

And if thy brother becomes poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness Yahweh shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
