Daniel 4:19

Word of Yahweh

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was perplexed for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My master, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?

Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the Elah of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and esteem.

This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my master the king:

Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

O thou king, the most high Elah gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and greatness, and honour, and majesty:

And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.

I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

Hithertois the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.

And Hannah answered and said, No, my master, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before Yahweh.

David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My master the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.

And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy master the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy master.

And he said, What is the thing that Yahweh hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: Elohim do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
