Acts 8:1

Word of Yahweh

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the assembly which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, while I leave it, and come down to you?

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his Elohim, as he did aforetime.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his Elohim.

And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and impale; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt should lose its flavor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth Elohim service.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Now there were in the assembly that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabah, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of Elohim, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

Praising Elohim, and having favour with all the people. And our Sovereign added to the assembly daily such as should be saved.

And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.

Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to kill them.

And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Yahshua, and let them go.

This is he, that was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel which spoke to him in the mount Sinai, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

When they heard these things, they were enraged, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of Elohim, they sent unto them Peter and John:

And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached the Messiah unto them.

Then had the assemblies rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Sovereign, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.

Who knowing the judgment of Elohim, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the good news;

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
