Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and impale; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabah, that he should go as far as Antioch.
Now there were in the assembly that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabah, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole assembly, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabah; namely, Judah surnamed Barsabah, and Silah, chief men among the brethren:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith Elohim, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
And Elohim hath set some in the assembly, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
