Word of Yahweh

For through the anger of Yahweh it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

And Cain went out from the presence of Yahweh, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;

And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not Elohim made foolish the wisdom of this world?

But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for Yahweh thy Elohim hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.

And the anger of Yahweh was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

For Yahweh thy Elohim is a consuming fire, even a jealous El.
