And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of Yahweh in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for elohim.
Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy elohim, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other elohim, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:
O our Elohim, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
And said, O Yahweh Elohim of our fathers, art not thou Elohim in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
Blessed be Yahweh thy Elohim, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for Yahweh thy Elohim: because thy Elohim loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
