O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? others think He seemeth to be a proclaimer of strange demons: because he preached unto them Yahshua, and the resurrection.

For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of Elohim.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with Elohim. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after the Messiah.

So that we ourselves boast of you in the assemblies of Elohim for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

According to the esteemed good news of the blessed Elohim, which was committed to my trust.

Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from Yahweh our Father and Yahshua the Messiah our Master.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than Yahweh's edifying which is in faith: so do.

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the wicked and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto holiness.

But thou, O man of Elohim, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, holiness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Master Yahshua the Messiah:

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in the Messiah Yahshua.

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more wickedness.

Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from Yahweh the Father and Yahshua the Messiah our Saviour.

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
