Word of Yahweh

I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for Yahweh will certainly make my master a sure house; because my master fighteth the battles of Yahweh, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.

Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and Yahweh said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.

And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also Yahweh telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

For thou, O Yahweh of hosts, Elohim of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his Elohim, as the heart of David his father.

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that Yahweh will build thee an house.

For thou, O my Elohim, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.

And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith Yahweh unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but Elohim's.

O Yahweh my Elohim, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: Yahweh his Elohim is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and honour your Father which is in heaven.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he praised Elohim, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

And Samuel said unto him, Yahweh hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

And all this assembly shall know that Yahweh saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Yahweh's, and he will give you into our hands.

And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give thee to wife: only be thou valiant for me, and fight Yahweh's battles. For Saul said, Let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?

Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.

And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.

Swear now therefore unto me by Yahweh, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father's house.

And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which Yahweh said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily.

And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my master, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid.

Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?

And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of Yahweh;
