Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I endure.

When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of Gehenna.

And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life?

And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded.

Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that Yahweh had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my master; for he is Yahweh's anointed.

David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My master the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.

And he said, Wherefore doth my master thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is in mine hand?

Now therefore, I pray thee, let my master the king hear the words of his servant. If Yahweh have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before Yahweh; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of Yahweh, saying, Go, serve other elohim.
