Word of Yahweh

Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of Yahweh remaineth under curtains.

And Yahweh sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of Yahweh.

And they brought in the ark of Yahweh, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.

And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule:

But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of Yahweh Elohim of Israel.

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.

And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of Elohim, and pitched for it a tent.

So they brought the ark of Elohim, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Elohim.

Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for Elohim is with thee.

For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for Yahweh Elohim of Israel.

And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of Yahweh my Elohim:

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and for the footstool of our Elohim, and had made ready for the building:

Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

But the ark of Elohim had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

Until I find out a place for Yahweh, an habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.

Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubim of cunning work shalt thou make them.

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?

I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace:

Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste?

Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith Yahweh of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

Who found favour before Elohim, and desired to find a tabernacle for the Elohim of Jacob.
