Insult your Creator, will you? That’s exactly what you do every time you oppress the powerless! Showing kindness to the poor is equal to honoring your maker.

The poor plead for help from the rich, but all they get in return is a harsh response.

There are two kinds of people headed toward poverty: those who exploit the poor and those who bribe the rich.

Never oppress the poor or pass laws with the motive of crushing the weak.

Everyone will experience the same fate— priests and people, masters and slaves, their maids and mistresses, buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, rich and poor.

When his servant was unable to repay his debt, the king ordered that he be sold as a slave along with his wife and children and every possession they owned as payment toward his debt.

But yet you insult and shun the poor in your efforts to impress the rich! Isn’t it the wealthy who exploit you and drag you into court?

Listen all you who are rich, for it’s time to weep and howl over the misery that will overtake you!

Listen! Can’t you hear the cries of the laborers over the wages you fraudulently held back from those who worked for you? The cries for justice of those you’ve cheated have reached the ears of the Lord of armies!
