Jeremiah 29:1

The Passion Translation

This is the open letter that the prophet Jeremiah sent from Jerusalem to the rest of the elders in exile, to the priests, the prophets, and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had deported from Jerusalem to Babylon.

The prophet Hananiah died the same year, in the seventh month.

And I will also bring back Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah who have gone to Babylon.’ For Yahweh declares, ‘I will shatter the yoke of the king of Babylon.’ ”

Even if my letter made you sorrowful, I don’t regret sending it (even though I felt awful for a moment when I heard how it grieved you).
