He will lift up a banner to signal the distant nations; he whistles for them to come from the ends of the earth. Look! Here they come, running swiftly and speedily!

You have given miraculous signs to those who love you. As we follow you, we fly the flag of truth, and all who love the truth will rally to it. Pause in his presence

May he subdue and take dominion from sea to sea; may he rule from the river to the rim.

What will come of you on your day of visitation when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? And what will you do then with all your great wealth?

He will lift up a banner among the nations and will gather the scattered Jews, and assemble the outcasts of Israel from the four corners of the earth.

“Raise high a signal flag on a barren hilltop! Shout out! Beckon my armies to invade the gates of the nobles,

for I have given orders to my consecrated ones. I have summoned my mighty heroes, those who rejoice in my triumph, that they may execute my anger.”

Listen! A thunderous noise is heard on the mountain, like that of a massive multitude. Listen! Kingdoms are in an uproar; nations are assembling together. The almighty Lord Yahweh is mustering an army for war.

They are coming from a faraway land, from the end of the heavens. Here comes Yahweh with his instruments of judgment, ready to ravage the entire land.

Everyone everywhere, all who dwell on the earth, when a signal flag is raised on the mountain, take notice! When the shofar is blown, listen!

And though you boast, ‘No! We will flee on horses,’ you will indeed flee for your lives! You say, ‘We will ride on swift horses,’ but your pursuers will be swift to chase you!

Fear will cause them to surrender their high fortress, and they will panic at the sight of princes, and desert their battle flag,” says the Lord God, whose fire burns in Zion and whose furnace burns in Jerusalem!

Then Isaiah the prophet visited the king and said to him, “What have you done? What did these men say and where did they come from?” Hezekiah replied, “They are envoys from distant Babylon.”

In that day, the Lord Yahweh will whistle and call for flies from Egypt’s lower streams. He will whistle for bees from the land of Assyria,

Look, as a storm cloud in the sky, he arises, and his war chariots kick up dust like a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. We’re done for! It’s over for us!

I, Yahweh, say to the people of Israel: ‘I am stirring up a distant nation, an ancient, warring nation to attack you. Her people will speak a language you do not know, a language you won’t understand.

“Raise up a signal flag throughout the world; sound the war trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations to attack her! Assemble the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, Ashkenaz to make war against her. Appoint a commanding officer to lead her enemies in battle; send multitudes of horsemen like swarms of locusts.

Our pursuers were swifter than eagles in the sky; they hunted us on the mountains and lay in ambush for us in the wilderness.

This is what Lord Yahweh says to Gog: “Are you not the one I spoke about in days gone by through my servants the prophets of Israel? They prophesied for years of your invasion.
