They disregarded all the epic signs and marvels they saw when they escaped from Egypt’s bondage. They forgot the judgment of the plagues that set them free.

Such amazing mysteries are found within every miracle that nearly everyone seems to miss. Those with no discernment can never really discover the deep and glorious secrets hidden in your ways.

God, I’m so weary and worn out, I feel more like a beast than a man. I was made in your image, but I lack understanding.

Zoan’s elite have become utter fools; the nobles of Memphis are utterly deceived, and Egypt has been led astray by her tribal chiefs.

The spirit of the Egyptians will be in panic, and I will confuse their strategies. They will seek guidance from their idols and by the spirits of the dead and consult with mediums and wizards.

Now I make fools of fortune-tellers and frustrate astrologers’ predictions. I confuse the wise, who think they know it all, and make their ‘knowledge’ into foolishness.

Everyone is ignorant, knowing nothing. Every craftsman is shamed by the idols they make since their idols are nothing but lifeless lies.

For the leaders of the nation are foolish, and they refuse Yahweh’s guidance. Therefore, without insight, they have not prospered, and all their flocks are scattered.

They have given a nickname to Pharaoh, king of Egypt— ‘The Loudmouth Who Missed His Opportunity!’

Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, says to Edom: “Is there no wise person left in Teman? Have all the advisers run out of common sense? Has all their wisdom vanished?

The know-it-alls will be shamed, terrorized, and trapped. They walked away from the word of Yahweh, so wisdom walked away from them.

Your heart became swollen with pride because of your beauty; your thirst for glory corrupted your wisdom. So, I hurled you down to the earth, and displayed you as a warning to other kings.

I will make southern Egypt deserted, burn Zoan to the ground, and punish Thebes.

One disaster will follow another, with rumor upon rumor. They will seek a vision from the prophet but in vain. The priestly teaching of the divine law will be destroyed, along with the counsel of the elders.

So Moses was fully trained in the royal courts and educated in the highest wisdom Egypt had to offer, until he arose as a powerful prince and an eloquent orator.
