The Passion Translation

The Lord Yahweh will most certainly show tender mercy to the Israelites. He will choose them again and settle them in their own land. Even foreigners will accompany them and join with the Jewish people.

I know you are about to arise and show your tender love to Zion. Now is the time, Lord, for your compassion and mercy to be poured out— the appointed time has come for your prophetic promises to be fulfilled!

For your servants weep in sympathy over Zion’s ruins and feel love for her every stone.

But I will remember my covenant that I made with you in the days of your youth. I will renew that covenant with you, and it will last forever.

You must distribute it as an inheritance for yourselves and the resident aliens who live among you, who have their children among you, since you must treat them as citizens of Israel. They must receive a share of the land for their inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

Because he can never forget to show mercy, he has helped his chosen servant, Israel,
