Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David.

The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."

The LORD swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: "One of the sons of your body[1] I will set on your throne.
