Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight,

to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity;

Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching,

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.

Whoever ignores instruction despises himself, but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.

A man of great wrath will pay the penalty, for if you deliver him, you will only have to do it again.

Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain[1] insight,

I have counsel and sound wisdom; I have insight; I have strength.

Hear instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it.

Be warned, O Jerusalem, lest I turn from you in disgust, lest I make you a desolation, an uninhabited land."

I said, 'Surely you will fear me; you will accept correction. Then your[1] dwelling would not be cut off according to all that I have appointed against you.'[2] But all the more they were eager to make all their deeds corrupt.

Who can count the dust of Jacob or number the fourth part[1] of Israel? Let me die the death of the upright, and let my end be like his!"

If they were wise, they would understand this; they would discern their latter end!

who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, to do you good in the end.
