Leviticus 22:19

if it is to be accepted for you it shall be a male without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,

"If his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from the sheep or goats, he shall bring a male without blemish,

"Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.

"If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD.

For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,

"If he brings a lamb as his offering for a sin offering, he shall bring a female without blemish

Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream."

So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this man's blood;[2] see to it yourselves."

saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." They said, "What is that to us? See to it yourself."

When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, "Truly this was the Son[8] of God!"

and said to them, "You brought me this man as one who was misleading the people. And after examining him before you, behold, I did not find this man guilty of any of your charges against him.

And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."

Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, "Certainly this man was innocent!"

Pilate went out again and said to them, "See, I am bringing him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in him."

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[1]

But if it has any blemish, if it is lame or blind or has any serious blemish whatever, you shall not sacrifice it to the LORD your God.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our[7] conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

For Christ also suffered[2] once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,
