You rely on the sword, you commit abominations, and each of you defiles his neighbor's wife; shall you then possess the land?

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife, you shall not uncover her nakedness.

And you shall not lie sexually with your neighbor's wife and so make yourself unclean with her.

"None of you shall approach any one of his close relatives to uncover nakedness. I am the LORD.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether brought up in the family or in another home.

"If a man commits adultery with the wife of[1] his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have committed perversion; their blood is upon them.

"If a man takes his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace, and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people. He has uncovered his sister's nakedness, and he shall bear his iniquity.

"Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the LORD of hosts.

Do you not know that the unrighteous[2] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[3]

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

"If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.

" 'Cursed be anyone who lies with his sister, whether the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.'

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
