Three times a year Solomon used to offer up burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar that he built to the LORD, making offerings with it[5] before the LORD. So he finished the house.

as the duty of each day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the three annual feasts -- the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Booths.

Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord GOD.

"You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal.

"You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib, for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.

"When the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed feasts, he who enters by the north gate to worship shall go out by the south gate, and he who enters by the south gate shall go out by the north gate: no one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered, but each shall go out straight ahead.

You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then you shall present a grain offering of new grain to the LORD.

"Speak to the people of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month and for seven days is the Feast of Booths[4] to the LORD.

"These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight,[1] is the LORD's Passover.

"Observe the month of Abib and keep the Passover to the LORD your God, for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

"Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place that he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths. They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.

Now this man used to go up year by year from his city to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of hosts at Shiloh, where the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were priests of the LORD.
