Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive, for they were broken before the LORD and his army. The men of Judah[3] carried away very much spoil.

And the fear of God came on all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard that the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel.

that it would please God to crush me, that he would let loose his hand and cut me off!

He is wise in heart and mighty in strength -- who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded? --

Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies.

They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from[2] the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

Please forgive the trespass of your servant. For the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord is fighting the battles of the LORD, and evil shall not be found in you so long as you live.
