Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, "Fight with neither small nor great, but only with the king of Israel."

And they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, both small and great, so that they wore themselves out groping for the door.

Ben-hadad the king of Syria gathered all his army together. Thirty-two kings were with him, and horses and chariots. And he went up and closed in on Samaria and fought against it.

And they went out at noon, while Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the booths, he and the thirty-two kings who helped him.

And do this: remove the kings, each from his post, and put commanders in their places,

And when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, "It is surely the king of Israel." So they turned to fight against him. And Jehoshaphat cried out.

Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, "Fight with neither small nor great, but only with the king of Israel."

Both great and small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them or cut himself or make himself bald for them.

and taken captive the women and all[1] who were in it, both small and great. They killed no one, but carried them off and went their way.
