He is driven from light into darkness, And chased out of the world.

A land as dark as darkness itself, As the shadow of death, without any order, Where even the light is like darkness.’ ”

If iniquity were in your hand, and you put it far away, And would not let wickedness dwell in your tents;

Terrors frighten him on every side, And drive him to his feet.

Total darkness is reserved for his treasures. An unfanned fire will consume him; It shall go ill with him who is left in his tent.

That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.

Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.

raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail.
