But Hezekiah did not repay according to the favor shown him, for his heart was lifted up; therefore wrath was looming over him and over Judah and Jerusalem.

Do you thus deal with the Lord, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father, who bought you? Has He not made you and established you?

then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’

not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
