And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their soul; and He was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around.

Then the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to follow the Lord and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took a stand for the covenant.

Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!

And after the Levites left, those from all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heart to seek the Lord God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.

And he built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest; he had no war in those years, because the Lord had given him rest.

Therefore he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

Then they took an oath before the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting and trumpets and rams’ horns.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them.

So nation was destroyed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every adversity.

Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”

Then the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around.

“Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us.

Then Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced that God had prepared the people, since the events took place so suddenly.

And Nehemiah, who was the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

When He gives quietness, who then can make trouble? And when He hides His face, who then can see Him, Whether it is against a nation or a man alone?—

With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!

I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments.

Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words which the Lord has said we will do.”

Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.

Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name And for the remembrance of You.

I have not spoken in secret, In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain’; I, the Lord, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.

For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

Now it came to pass, a long time after the Lord had given rest to Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua was old, advanced in age.

So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
