May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.

May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace.

Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie.

My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.

Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord— that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Find out about all the hiding places he uses and come back to me with definite information. Then I will go with you; if he is in the area, I will track him down among all the clans of Judah.”
