because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus.

So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.
