But the Egyptians are mere mortals and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out his hand, those who help will stumble, those who are helped will fall; all will perish together.

Will you then say, “I am a god,” in the presence of those who kill you? You will be but a mortal, not a god, in the hands of those who slay you.

The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life.

Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
