Hebrews 9:2

New International Version

A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lampstand and the table with its consecrated bread; this was called the Holy Place.

“Make a table of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.

Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.

“Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.

“Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim woven into them by a skilled worker.

Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain. The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

Place the table outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand opposite it on the south side.

“This is what you are to do to consecrate them, so they may serve me as priests: Take a young bull and two rams without defect.

“Do for Aaron and his sons everything I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them.

“Set up the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, on the first day of the first month.

Bring in the table and set out what belongs on it. Then bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps.

He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests.

Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
