Exodus 8:12

New International Version

After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the Lord about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh.

He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.

Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord.

But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God. “Lord,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?

And the Lord did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields.

Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord,

Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”

Then Moses left Pharaoh and went out of the city. He spread out his hands toward the Lord; the thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured down on the land.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Once again I will yield to Israel’s plea and do this for them: I will make their people as numerous as sheep,

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.
