And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.

and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.

Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

“The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people.”

I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’

Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our misery, toil and oppression.

And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”
