When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

For Joshua did not draw back the hand that held out his javelin until he had destroyed all who lived in Ai.
