While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the Lord appearing in the cloud.

“I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’ ”

Moses also said, “You will know that it was the Lord when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the Lord.”

and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.

and the glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Then Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.”

But the whole assembly talked about stoning them. Then the glory of the Lord appeared at the tent of meeting to all the Israelites.

“How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites.

It is against the Lord that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?”

But when the assembly gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron and turned toward the tent of meeting, suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the Lord appeared.

The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites.”

When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
