“This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah: “This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

This is the word that the Lord has spoken against him: “ ‘Virgin Daughter Zion despises you and mocks you. Daughter Jerusalem tosses her head as you flee.

They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest;

And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

Whatever the land yields during the sabbath year will be food for you—for yourself, your male and female servants, and the hired worker and temporary resident who live among you,

This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

“ ‘And what happens to your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, will be a sign to you—they will both die on the same day.
