Then he restored the altar of the Lord and sacrificed fellowship offerings and thank offerings on it, and told Judah to serve the Lord, the God of Israel.

I gave orders to purify the rooms, and then I put back into them the equipment of the house of God, with the grain offerings and the incense.

I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.

This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek me and live;

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons blasphemed God, and he failed to restrain them.
