Consult God’s instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.

Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.)

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.

In my judgment, she is happier if she stays as she is—and I think that I too have the Spirit of God.

I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.
