Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?

The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the Lord.

Any male in a priest’s family may eat it, but it must be eaten in the sanctuary area; it is most holy.

You must not eat in your own towns the tithe of your grain and new wine and olive oil, or the firstborn of your herds and flocks, or whatever you have vowed to give, or your freewill offerings or special gifts.

We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
