So, too, it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living being,” the last Adam a life-giving spirit.

Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless, of course, you fail the test.

For we who live are constantly being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

For our sake he made him to be sin who did not know sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me.

and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love,

I am caught between the two. I long to depart this life and be with Christ, [for] that is far better.

and be found in him, not having any righteousness of my own based on the law but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God, depending on faith

to whom God chose to make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; it is Christ in you, the hope for glory.

For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

Just as it is appointed that human beings die once, and after this the judgment,
