Some went off to sea in ships, plied their trade on the deep waters.

The Lord is just in all his ways, merciful in all his works.

The poor will eat their fill; those who seek the Lord will offer praise. May your hearts enjoy life forever!”

They feast on the rich food of your house; from your delightful stream you give them drink.

The Lord shall inspire them with terror when he makes all the gods of earth waste away; Then the distant shores of the nations, each from its own place, shall bow down to him.

On that day—oracle of the Lord of hosts—I will take you, my servant, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel—oracle of the Lord—and I will make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you—oracle of the Lord of hosts.

He shall banish the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; The warrior’s bow will be banished, and he will proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God,

He is your praise; he is your God, who has done for you those great and awesome things that your own eyes have seen.

Or did any god venture to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by testings, by signs and wonders, by war, with strong hand and outstretched arm, and by great terrors, all of which the Lord, your God, did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?

Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: “You are just, O Holy One, who are and who were, in passing this sentence.
