Do not forsake me, O Lord; my God, be not far from me!
A psalm of David. Lord, I call to you; hasten to me; listen to my plea when I call.
Do not stay far from me, for trouble is near, and there is no one to help.
Of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is my life’s refuge; of whom should I be afraid?
But evils surround me until they cannot be counted. My sins overtake me, so that I can no longer see. They are more numerous than the hairs of my head; my courage fails me.
While those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. May those who long for your salvation always say, “The Lord is great.”
My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation.
My soul, be at rest in God alone, from whom comes my hope.
For the leader; of David. For remembrance.
But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you, Those who long for your help always say, “God be glorified!”
God, be not far from me; my God, hasten to help me.
God indeed is my salvation; I am confident and unafraid. For the Lord is my strength and my might, and he has been my salvation.
