For your name’s sake, Lord, give me life; in your righteousness lead my soul out of distress.

Help us, God our savior, on account of the glory of your name. Deliver us, pardon our sins for your name’s sake.

Therefore say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: Not for your sake do I act, house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you desecrated among the nations to which you came.

But the gift is not like the transgression. For if by that one person’s transgression the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one person Jesus Christ overflow for the many.

I am writing to you, children, because your sins have been forgiven for his name’s sake.
